Correct carrier sizing is very important to the success of babywearing. The bottom of your carrier should fall slightly below your navel and above your hipbone. Choose your size by your fitted tee-shirt size and by measuring yourself.

To do this, use a flexible measuring tape and start at the outermost cap of your shoulder. Bring the tape across between your breasts and to the outermost point between your navel and hip. (make sure you take this measurement pre or post-pregnancy)

Everyone will be able to wear two different sizes of pouch. To determine which to choose, ask yourself the following questions:

~large or small chested? If large, choose the larger size
~broad or narrow shoulders? If broad, choose the larger size
~what size do you wear in a fitted T-shirt?

When your baby is in the carrier, it should feel snug and secure. If the carrier is too big, your baby will flop around and your back will hurt! If the carrier is too small, it will be hard to put your baby in.
